  • IDAHO 4A PLAY-IN ROUND: UPSET ALERT WEEKEND

IDAHO 4A PLAY-IN ROUND: UPSET ALERT WEEKEND

Four games. Four chances to prove the doubters wrong. The 4A playoffs start NOW with Halloween night’s slate of do-or-die matchups!

    GAME 1: #6 American Falls vs #12 Bonners Ferry | Friday @ 7PM

The Badgers bring the HEAT with 34 PPG and Keenan Maas running wild (196.6 ypg, 22 TDs). But don’t sleep on the Beavers’ ball-hawking defense – 15 INTs led by dual-threat QB Zakary Grigg who does it ALL (103.6 rush ypg + 5 picks). Can American Falls’ opportunistic D slow down Bonners Ferry’s explosive offense?

    GAME 2: #8 Buhl vs #9 McCall-Donnelly | Friday @ 6PM

McCall-D’s offensive juggernaut (430.2 total ypg) meets Buhl’s turnover-forcing machine (14 INTs). The Vandals’ Colt Value & Gunnar Newman combine for 226.6 rush yards per game, while Porter Higley is a PROBLEM on both sides for the Indians (42.0 rec ypg + 10.5 sacks!). Buhl’s scoring woes (0.9 PPG) are concerning, but their defense creates havoc.

    GAME 3: #7 Snake River vs #10 Gooding | Friday @ 7PM

Gooding looks DOMINANT on paper (361.3 ypg), led by Cougar Stockham’s dual-threat brilliance (100.9 QB rating, 12 pass TDs, 2 INTs on defense). Snake River’s stats are incomplete, making them a complete wildcard. The Senators’ triple threat of Rio Curtis, Eli Esterbrook, and Stockham could be unstoppable.

    GAME 4: #6 Weiser vs #11 Teton | Saturday @ 12PM

GROUND & POUND meets AIR RAID! Weiser’s Cole Ingle & Ty Cobb power the run game (150.6 combined rush ypg), while Teton’s Luke Nelson is a CHEAT CODE (13 rush TDs + 15 pass TDs) paired with Drew Moss (111.1 rec ypg, 9 TDs). This style clash could be the weekend’s best game!

This is Idaho excellence. This is what championship mentality looks like.

  • YOTES WALK IT OFF IN LA GRANDE

YOTES WALK IT OFF IN LA GRANDE

1:10 left on the clock. Game scoreless. Eastern Oregon lines up for what should be the game-winning 49-yard field goal.

Dee’Shon Swafford breaks through, blocks it, scoops it up at the 49, and takes it 60 yards to the end zone. 7-0 Yotes.

But it’s not over. Eastern Oregon gets the ball back with one last chance. Mason Priddy steps up with his 2nd interception of the night to seal it.

This was a defensive clinic. The Yotes held Eastern Oregon to just 140 total yards and 10 first downs. Jacob Sisson was a problem all night with 2.5 sacks. Willie White and Tucker French dominated up front.

Offensively, Rylie Byington ground out 91 yards. Caden Young threw for 167. Jackson Ames led receivers with 3 catches for 57 yards.

College of Idaho improves to 6-1 (3-0 Frontier). Perfect in conference play. Playoff positioning locked in.

Next up: Home game in Caldwell vs Arizona Christian University. The push continues.

IT’S A CONFERENCE GAMEDAY FOR THE SRV

    COLE VALLEY CHRISTIAN CHARGERS (2-1)

    vs

    FRUITLAND GRIZZLIES (4-0) (#3 Ranked in 4A)

TONIGHT AT EAGLE HIGH SCHOOL – 7PM

The Snake River Valley Conference officially kicks off tonight with a compelling matchup between two teams with contrasting momentum. The undefeated Fruitland Grizzlies travel to face Cole Valley Christian in what could be a defining moment for both programs.

    What to Watch:

    • Conference championship implications begin with this opener

    • Fruitland enters with perfect 4-0 record and #3 division ranking

    • Cole Valley Christian (2-1) looking to make statement under new leadership

    • Early season form vs. conference experience will be tested

    The Grizzlies Storyline:

Fruitland comes in riding high with an unblemished record and championship aspirations. Junior quarterback Titus Vidlak, the reigning Snake River Valley Offensive Player of the Year, has been exceptional early this season. The Grizzlies’ offensive line is anchored by Utah commit Kelvin Obot, one of Idaho’s top recruits. Fruitland hasn’t won the SRV title since 2017 but appears poised to challenge for conference supremacy once again.

    The Chargers’ Opportunity:

Cole Valley Christian enters conference play with a 2-1 record under first-year head coach Jordan Henslin. The program is embracing a new philosophy of “competitive excellence” as they aim to establish themselves as contenders in the tough Snake River Valley. This home opener represents a chance to prove they belong among the conference elite.

    Conference Context:

The Snake River Valley Conference is traditionally one of Idaho’s most competitive 4A leagues. Both Homedale and Weiser have dominated recent years, consistently challenging for state titles. Tonight’s opener could set the tone for which teams emerge as this year’s championship contenders.
